THE BEST HEALTHY HOMEMADE GRANOLA

You’ll love this easy healthy DIY healthy granola recipe! Mix and match your favourite seeds, nuts and dried fruit to make your perfect granola combination. Store bought granola can be so expensive and not to mention full of sugar. Try this quick recipe for a healthier, tastier and cheaper alternative! (Gluten free and Vegan)

Yield: 4-5 cups granola
INGREDIENTS
 2 cups raw, whole rolled oats
 ½ cup raw nuts (I used sliced almonds and walnut pieces)
 ¼ cup raw seeds (I used pumpkin seeds and hemp)
 1 tbsp ground flax
 2 tbsp cocoa powder
 ¼ cup shredded unsweetened coconut
 4 tbsp cane sugar or honey
 4 tbsp virgin coconut oil
 ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
 ½ tsp ground cinnamon powder
 1 large pinch fine sea salt
 ¼ cup dried fruit (I used freeze dried strawberry)
 ½ cup chocolate chunks once cooled

DIRECTIONS

Preheat the oven to 325º F.

Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Use your clean hands to mix well and toss to coat.

Spread the mixture in a thin layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 18-22 minutes, until very lightly toasted.

Cool, then add chocolate chunks before serving.
Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
