This dreamy cup of chai is a beautiful blend of whole spices and fresh ginger. I find everyone’s chai preference is slightly different so don’t be afraid to customize the spice quantities to fit your perfect cup. I personally love this cardamon infused mix with a hint of ginger. (Gluten free and Vegan)
Combine peppercorns, star anise, cinnamon, seeded cardamom, all spice, and cloves into mortar & pestle or spice grinder. Grind until fine (some larger pieces are okay).
Combine spices, ginger, oat milk, and water into a saucepan. Place over medium heat, stirring gently. Bring to a boil, about 1 minute. Reduce to low heat and add tea, let steep for 3-5 minutes. Add cane sugar.
Pour the chai through a strainer into a cup. Garnish with your choice of spices. Serve hot.
